I’m taking a vacation from blogging for the first 10 days of December. But because I love you guys, I want to give you something to do while I’m gone. Welcome to the Thousandaire Music Video Countdown!
I’m giving you the top five best Thousandaire songs, according to me. Make sure to come back every day and find out where you favorite song falls in the list.
1. Haven’t Made a Budget
There is a very special place in my heart for this video. It is the first music video I’ve ever made. I edited all the parts together on a free trial of Sony Vegas; the first experience of my life with a video editor. I sung the song 8,273 times to get it right because I hadn’t REALLY sung anything for about 7 years. Plus there’s a super hot girl in it.
Yep, this is where it all started. This video was the beginning of this blog. I had an idea that I could combine personal finance, music, humor, and videos into one and make something awesome.
And it was awesome.
Correction.
It IS awesome!
A few things I like about my most awesomest favoritest video are:
- The hot girl getting excited outside my apartment after the date. Cutest thing ever!
- I got to drive a Corvette!
- The message that smart, pretty girls are attracted to financially responsible men. It’s oh-so-true.
- I get the girl. “nuff said.
P.S. As a reminder, I’m on a blogging vacation through the end of the week. While I’m gone, tell me your favorite Thousandaire song in the comments below.

Dude, How is “for when I retire” not number 2 or at least number 3 on your list? This is possibly one of the biggest snubs in thousandaire history!
I love this video! Though I agree with Patrick — the Roth IRA video where you kiss your piggy bank, “For When I Retire,” is my favorite.
I think you dancing in your chair in front of the computer has to be the best part of the vid!
Without solid budgeting principles, it will be nearly impossible to stick to budgeting, and you will remain stuck constantly on a roller coaster of financial ups and downs, never actually gaining any ground.
Your prenup video made me laugh. Based on the comments above, I’ll check out your IRA video too!
